Allison smiled. Josh always had the right thing to say, to make her feel less awkward. A blush bloomed on her cheeks as he winked. She winked back, “You’re still taller.” In her district, she was conisdered tall, because most families lacked nutrients necessary for proper growth, the food shortages toiling on them. Allison’s family had been a major grain supplier, but still, never had enough. They just had more.“Well sorry” she smirked. “I’m not that tall.. Just need to… Ya know, stand my ground. When Allison turned around to look at Josh, you saw the worry on her face. As if she did something terribly wrong. Allison instantly felt her fingers shaking in shock. There was no way. Josh couldn’t like her. She was nothing special, she had nothing going for her.
